Winterforce Studdable Winter radials are designed to deliver outstanding value at an affordable price for the owners of domestic and imported sedans, vans and light-duty pickup trucks, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles. Regardless of the name branded on their sidewalls, Winterforce (non-branded), Firestone Winterforce and Firestone Winterforce UV (as in Utility Vehicle) radials feature the same tread design, compound and new tire tread depth, as well as feature the same physical dimensions and internal construction on a size-by-size basis. That makes them fully compatible and allows them to be mixed and matched as necessary. NOTE: Installing less than a set of new tires on four-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles may require that new tire(s) be shaved to the same tread depth as existing tires to minimize driveline wear and/or damage. Winterforce winter radials feature an aggressive directional tread pattern with tread blocks that are siped, stepped and/or can be studded to offer the biting edges necessary to provide traction in snow and on ice. Independent tread blocks feature high-density siping to enhance grip in loose snow while the intermediate and shoulder tread blocks are molded to accept studs that further enhance traction on hard-packed snow and ice. The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts on top of a polyester carcass to combine strength with ride quality. All Winterforce winter radials meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol. Install Winterforce tires in sets of four only.

These tires are great. I have driven them cross country, and in all weather conditions. They are comftorbale, quiet, and have excellent traction in all conditions. I have abused them for three years, and they are still servicable. I believe these tires are the best you can get for the price. I have include a history of my tires to illistrate. I bought these in Texas, at Firestone (4 of the 6 in the state), in the summer of 2006; with the intention of moving to Montana. I drove in the Texas heat, rain and ice . These tires handled the rain season well (For those of you who have not lived in Texas, it rains/hails till it floods in the Fall time. It is an insane amout of rain.) I took them through offroading mud while going fishing(where they performed well, not as good as mud tires, but better than I expected) There was a bad ice storm that winter in Texas, my friend totaled his truck (after making fun of me for buying snow tires in Texas, karma), but I had no issues. I finally got to Montana in July of 2007. I did not drive my truck much there, but in January of 2008 I drove the Truck to the east coast, packed to the gills, and towing a car pack with stuff through the mountains of Montana, and Wyoming in a blizzard (my front axel was plowing snow). These tires stuck to the road great. My ability to drive was only limited by visability. Now with the recent snow storm in Dec 2009, I live in the woods and my truck was the only vehicle I could get out during the worst of it.
